Date: 2nd August 2021 Time: 09:00-16:00 Location: Auriol Kensington Rowing Club, 14 Lower Mall, Hammersmith, London W6 9DJ Course Fee: £150 per student Student age: 11-14 years old Class size: 24 students Course Length: 1 day of 6 hours (10 mins break each hour + 1 hour lunch) The Elite Journey Debate Course is a one-day programme for students aged 11 to 14. It is aimed at equipping students with the fundamental skills of debate, helping them to become exceptional communicators and inspiring leaders of the future. Students are mentored by Julian Bell, Head of English and Debating at Godolphin and Latymer School and author of The Debating Book: everything you ever need to know about debating. Set in our modern central London venue, students will learn the basic debating skill sets of: argumentation, rebuttal, organisation and prioritisation, expression and delivery. There will be around one hour devoted to each skill, and two hours devoted to running a mini-competition allowing all students to take part in debates with full feedback from the mentor. Cancellation and refund policy If you cancel the course booking within 7 calendar days of receiving your order confirmation and before the start of the course without giving any reason, you are entitled to a full refund of the price paid. Cancellations and refunds in circumstances outside those described above, and/or following the expiry of the 7-day cancellation period, are subject to the terms and conditions set out in this Cancellation and Refund policy. For the avoidance of doubt, the cancellation period will expire 7 days after the date of the Order Confirmation. We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction unless you have expressly agreed otherwise. In any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of this reimbursement. If you start to use our services during the cancellation period (i.e. if the course commences during the 7-day cancellation period) and/or if you access the course materials via our online course spaces (i.e. via our virtual learning environment), no refund will be payable. Cancellation by Elite Journey Whilst every effort is made to avoid changes to our program Elite Journey reserves the right to withdraw or cancel any course. If for any reason we cancel a course, all course fees will be returned in full. Covid-19 Policy Elite Journey recognises the importance of advanced planning in order to maintain services and limit the spread of the new coronavirus, known as Covid-19, within our setting. If our services are affected by the Covid-19 and we are unable to teach in person, we will deliver the courses online. We will endeavour to inform you of any changes related to Covid-19 regulations with as much notice as possible. before the start of your courses. You will not be eligible for a refund if we deliver our services online rather than in person due to Covid-19.
