The mentors on our programmes are undergraduates or post-graduates from top Universities across the world who want to devote their free time to inspire our students.
Our programmes started with just one camp "Cambridge Summer School in China (CSSC)" as our founder, Neil, brought a group of mentors from the University of Cambridge out to China for the first time. Since then, our programmes have developed to the large selection you can see below. Each year the locations of our camps change, allowing students from all over the world to join us!
SUMMER CAMP
CSSC is a series of seasonal camp programmes in which students learn various subjects in English in a fun and engaging environment, as well as creating cultural exchange between them and teachers from elite universities, which we have seen inspire many students to push themselves further and aim higher in academics.
By necessity, students will require global collaboration in their futures to solve the world’s most pressing issues, such as climate change, pandemics, and other crises. They will also need understanding of science, technology, art and mathematics to thrive in an economy of rapid innovation. We prepare students to lead this change by teaching fundamental skills like critical thinking, problem solving, and effective communication

DEBATE CAMP
The CSSC Debate Camp focuses on teaching a British Parliamentary style of debate. Within this, teaching focuses on a wide range of debate topics designed to get the students thoroughly engaged with the debate format. Afternoon activities and evening activities also still occur, emphasising the need for both fun and an immersive English learning environment. This camp not only helps students to develop fluency in English speaking but also helps inculcate the art of critical thinking, quick rebutting, logical argumentation and confidence to perform.

GREEN CAMP
At the CSSC Green Camp, we focus on English language teaching through environment and sustainability, with a particular emphasis on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. British Parliamentary Debate is incorporated into the Green Camp as a perfect platform for students to express their newfound knowledge and practice their English speaking skills. The Green Camp in Bali is unique in that it is held in the famous Green School in Bali. As such, the students and teachers get to take part in a variety of exciting activities, such as mud wrestling, coconut tree climbing and river rafting!
